Puff of Colour: a quarry comes alive
A look back at the people, atmosphere and experiences in our event archive.
Puff of Colour placed celebration against the dramatic walls of a quarry. Paint, powder and water brought a vivid contrast to the stone, turning the setting into part of the experience.
The early-morning gathering was accompanied by iron bands, drums and brass, with saxophone also noted in our recap. The mix of sound and colour gave guests several ways to become part of the scene.
The setting remains one of the strongest details: high rock walls enclosing a celebration that was anything but restrained in its use of colour.
